Join Mission BBQ for Armed Forces Week and go enjoy a FREE sandwich as their guest.
Each day they will honor and thank each military branch.
Armed Forces Day is Saturday, May 20. Join  for Lunch with the Heroes from 11 am – 2pm. All branches will be honored with a free sandwich. They will also have a live rendition of our National Anthem performed at noon!

“Feed the Fish for Make-A-Wish.”
Bridgewater Marina is donating 100%e of popcorn sales in 2017 to Make-A-Wish of Greater Virginia. Goal is to raise $10,000! Popcorn may be purchased daily at Bridgewater Plaza location for $1 per bag. 

All proceeds will benefit Richmond-based Make-A-Wish of Greater Virginia

Disabled American Veterans – Week 6 (May 19th)
Each week of the competition we will be benefitting the designated charity.
Half of each sale goes to The Bazaar Of Roanoke’s local art gallery and all ages concert series!

Face Painting and Henna tattoos for all ages, Judd’s Big Fun Events will be bringing large street games to every event, plus free sidewalk chalk galore!
New for this year, honoring Roanoke Co+op owners and The Grandin Theatre Movie Makers Members with free admission to all Chillage events. Must show owner/member cards at the gate, one admission per card.

National D-Day Memorial
Support our Armed Forces at the National D-Day Memorial by participating in a patriotic themed 5K Run/Walk and Youth Fun Run! Not only does the race begin and end at the picturesque Memorial, but a total change in elevation of 220 feet provides a unique challenge for runners of all levels to “Conquer the Hill.” Participants will also have the opportunity to honor and interact with members of the Armed Forces past and present.
Don’t want to run or walk? Sign up to be a “Fortitude Runner” to show your support for our Armed Forces and the National D-Day Memorial and receive a t-shirt.
T-shirt guarantee deadline is May 1. Prizes will be awarded for the top finishers overall for the 5K Run and teams for team spirit and top fundraiser. Roanoke’s Kids to Parks Day is an annual free family festival hosted by Roanoke Parks and Recreation. Swing by Wasena Park on May 20 to enjoy an array of bouncy castles, facepainting, an outdoor scavenger hunt, prizes, a magician, balloons and more!
One lucky raffle prize winner will be awarded a $330 gift certificate to Cardinal Bicycle.
Water and light snacks will be available at no charge, in addition to the following food truck vendors: El Budare Grill, Dojo Grill, Viva La Cupcake
Kids to Parks Day is an annual nation-wide event that encourages outdoor play and adventure. Organized by the National Park Trust, municipalities across the nation participate each year.

Participants will be provided with an 8×10 canvas, all the necessary painting supplies, and step by step instructions to create a unique painting. Festival will kick off Friday night May 26th with the return of  “Festival Friday”! Showcasing all local and regional music. Headlined by Bristol based country-rockers Folk Soul Revival Friday night is a party. Ghost Eagle kicks it off at 5:30 followed by Erin and the Wildfire and than our friends Rutledge will hit the stage ahead of FSR.
Sunday May 28th close out Festival 2017 with Festival tradition & favorite 1964 The Tribute!!!
Festival buttons for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening concerts are $5 per night OR purchase an ALL weekend Festival Pass button for just $10!!! Buttons can be purchased at the Berglund Center Box Office or online

Bargains at the Bridges is an outdoor flea market that takes place from 12-4 the Last Sunday of each month May-October.

Each space is 8’ X 8’. If you need more room, multiple spaces will need to be purchased.
